This breastfeeding course is advised by the UNICEF UK Baby Friendly Initiative. Our videos are presented by Sally Tedstone Infant Feeding Lead at the Royal Bath Hospital. She will take you through all the basics you need to know to help establish breastfeeding and to overcome challenges as they arise.
With lots of clear, practical demonstrations with groups of Mums and babies – you’ll get the hang of:
Getting your baby properly attached so they’ll breastfeed easily;
Finding different breastfeeding positions which suit different needs;
Knowing how much and how often to breastfeed your baby;
What to do if you get mastitis, cracked nipples or engorged breasts;
Expressing milk – by hand or with a pump;
Checking whether your baby might have tongue-tie;
Supporting your breastfeeding through eating well;
And lots, lots more!
Our breastfeeding videos were originally developed in association with paediatric members of the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health.
