Mark Calleja is the co-founder and Headteacher at HackLab. He is an experienced school teacher who was recognised by Ofsted as an ‘Outstanding’ classroom teacher in 2014 and is a Raspberry Pi Certified Educator.

As a teacher in Cambridge Mark worked as a Primary School teacher for Lower Key stage 2.

He was the ICT Coordinator and developed and implemented a whole-school plan for the delivery of the new UK ICT Curriculum.

As part of his mission to get all children coding he also runs the ‘Park Street Hacker Elite’, an after-school coding club for students aged 7-10.

He has been interviewed about coding on the BBC and the Naked Scientists show. He presented a TEDx talk at Kings College London in the autumn of 2016 on the subject of hacking and digtial citizenship.
